Scott serves as the CEO and Board Chair of Treasures/Excel Group. Scott is a third-generation owner of Treasures taking over from his Father and Mother, and his Grandfather before them. His journey into insurance was motivated by the desire to make a positive impact during challenging times and providing individuals with the peace of mind they need through reliable coverage. What keeps Scott committed to the industry is his unwavering belief in the products they offer and the profound satisfaction derived from assisting people when they need it most.

For Scott, the most rewarding aspect of his role is knowing that he contributes to a net positive industry, helping individuals navigate difficult situations with ease. He takes pride in the team he has assembled and the collaborative environment they’ve fostered at Treasures.

Scott’s academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with distinction, from the University of Alberta. Scott also obtained his CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) designation attaining the highest marks in the province for CAIB I and III. He has been actively involved in various boards and associations, including serving as past President of the IBAA (Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta) and IBAC(Insurance Brokers Association of Canada).

Outside of work, Scott finds joy on the golf course on Sunday mornings and cherishes quality time spent with his family. His hobbies include golf, following mixed martial arts, squash, and hockey, with a particular passion for supporting his beloved Edmonton Oilers.

Scott’s dedication to giving back to the community is evident through his long-standing commitment as a Big Brother volunteer since 1999 and his strong support for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
