Account Manager - Personal Lines

Job Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, achieving targets for new business and renewals/retention of current clients
  • Give clear answers to clients on any coverage or billing questions including information on rate fluctuations or policy changes to ensure full understanding
  • Update policy changes on customer accounts in our book of business and inform clients about policy changes.
  • Consult with clients to obtain all required information to process Personal Lines quotes. Ensure all relevant information is obtain so accurate quotes can be achieved on new business.
  • Maintain and manage email account and attach all client emails to their file to ensure all documentation adheres with company policy and to reduce the potential for E&O claims
  • Maintain and manage renewal list to ensure all renewals are received and processed. Office standard is to work at least 30 days ahead on renewals.
  • Gather all documentation needed for reporting a claim
  • Review bulletins and manuals to keep up with industry standards, insurance products, current rates, coverages, insurance policies, and carriers, so you can assist clients and the rest of our service team with understanding and addressing the newest rules and policy updates
  • Develop and manage good working relationships with clients, co-workers, underwriters, and insurance company representatives
  • Attract new business by cross selling the existing book of business, provide excellent customer service to ensure referral business and promote Lake City Insurance within the community
  • Deliver good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients
  • Liaise with colleagues to keep your knowledge of new and existing products up to date
  • Keep up to date with current market conditions and competitors’ products
  • Review all renewals, policy changes and new business for accuracy before sending out to insured
  • Meet monthly sales targets for new business and annual retention targets.

Requirements

  • Level 1 Insurance license or willing to obtain within 3 month probation period
  • Prior office experience
  • Detail oriented and organized to maintain a large volume of transactions on a daily basis
  • Friendly, positive attitude with a focus on making the office run smoothly and efficient
  • Willing to help all members of the team to accomplish a common goal
